Exciting news for Grand Island!
The state legislature has recently approved over 800 acres as a Good Life District in Grand Island, giving us a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape our community’s future!
Vote FOR the Good Life District Economic Development Program and be a part of this exciting transformation!
No Increase in Sales Tax
Your vote FOR the Good Life District Economic Development Program will keep taxes as they are now. The program simply replaces 2.75% of state sales tax with the same amount in local sales tax. No property taxes will be used.
Money Remains in Grand Island
Instead of sending money to the state, a vote FOR the Good Life District Program ensures that the revenue will be reinvested in Grand Island! It’s projected that the first year alone will generate at least $7 million in local sales tax dollars.
Good Life Equals Great Things
The program will help bring a sports complex, more retail, more entertainment, more tourism and more housing options to Grand Island, boosting the economy and quality of life. Decisions on how the money will be spent will be made locally.
Be Part of Grand Island's Bright Future
